From my great great Aunt, to my younger Brother, RP has been an un-welcomed part of my family. Genitics may also predict the vision quality of the next generation of my family. RP affects everyone in our family, even those not affected by RP.
Some of my family members are compasionate towards blindness, some block it out, some just don’t care, and some pretend they don’t know any better. Only the best recognize the need to be there for those affected by blindness and to help them get along without making blindness seem too much like a charity.
